***You must be registered and enrolled in Summer classes to utilize the pantry.***

To schedule an appointment please select the Pantry Visit Request tab and fill out the form. The form will open on Sunday morning of each week for appointment times on Tuesday and Wednesday from 12:00pm-4:30pm. The appointment times are on a first come first serve basis, you will need to fill out the form every week if you wish to schedule an appointment for the week you would like to come.

Meal Swipes Program

National Swipe Out Hunger Program

Swipe Out Hunger is a nation-wide program that partners with colleges to help put an end to student hunger and assist those who struggle with food insecurity. Leadership & Community Engagement has partnered with Chartwells Dining Services, Auxiliary Services, Student Assistance and Support Services, and the Sustainability Office to bring this program to UNC Charlotte. 

Donate Meal Swipes

Students can donate up to two swipes from their meal plan per semester. Swipes can be donated by:

  1. Visiting the 49er ID Card Office in Popp Martin Student Union, which has a swipe machine to collect meal donations.
  2. Outside Crown Commons and SoVi Dining Hall during Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week:
    • November 18-22, 2019

Eligibility for Swipe Out Hunger Program at UNC Charlotte

The Swipe Out Hunger Program aims to provide students who are food insecure, and/or who are experiencing an emergency situation, access to healthy and well-balanced meals in our campus dining halls. To be eligible, students must be currently enrolled at UNC Charlotte.
