The pantry provides assistance to UNC Charlotte undergraduate and graduate students that struggle with food insecurity. In 2013 the USDA defined food insecurity as a condition that occurs when people do not have enough resources to feed themselves. We offer a variety of nutritious meals and frequently give demonstrations on what meals can be made with the food in our pantry.

Some food pantries require a referral. In order to obtain that, please call 211 and state that you need food assistance and understand that SOME food banks require a referral. Ask "how do I get a referral and if possible, can you provide me names of food banks that don't have this requirement."
